You have many choices when it comes to smart phones. If you want a touch-screen smart phone, though, you start limiting your options. Here, the Apple's iPhone and phones running Google's Android operating system dominate the touch-screen smart phone market. They're your best bet.
Palm and BlackBerry-maker RIM haven't released new models in months. Microsoft is preparing to release Windows Phone 7 by year's end. It should offer big improvements over Microsoft's current phone software, like multitouch.

iPhone 4
The iPhone 4, available in black or white, comes with either 16 gigabytes of memory for $199 or 32GB for $299. Apple will continue to sell the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS for $99.
The most striking feature of the iPhone 4 is its design. The front and back panels are made of aluminosilicate glass. This is used in windshields of high-speed trains and helicopters. They're joined by strips of stainless steel, which function as the antenna. At roughly one-third of an inch thick, it is the thinnest smart phone available.
The camera features a 5-megapixel back-illuminated sensor. You'll take better photos in low light. And the LED flash works with both photos and videos. A second, front-facing camera allows video chats with other iPhone 4 owners over Wi-Fi.
The iPhone features 720p high-definition recording at 30 frames per second. This should provide smooth, high-quality video. Videos can be edited directly on the phone. The 3.5-inch retina display offers an astounding 960-by-640-pixel resolution.
Battery life is also improved. Talk time is seven hours and standby time is 300 hours. On the downside, the iPhone doesn't support Adobe's Flash. This means not all Web pages will display properly; you won't see as many online videos.

HTC Evo 4G
HTC's Evo 4G ($200) is flying off shelves. This Android phone is the first phone to use 4G. This technology promises faster data speeds, but Sprint's 4G service is only available in a handful of cities. The Evo supports up to 32GB of storage via a microSD slot; an 8GB card is included.
The Evo offers a 4.3-inch display with 800x480 resolution. There's an 8-megapixel camera on the rear with dual LED flashes. A front-facing camera can be used for video calls. The rear camera records 720p video at 25 frames per second. You may notice some choppiness in your videos. A micro HDMI port connects the Evo to your television.
One of the Evo's cooler tricks is its hot spot feature. Sprint says up to eight gadgets can connect via Wi-Fi. The phone also supports Sprint TV. You can watch live broadcasts and other programming from a variety of channels. For example, NBC, ABC, ESPN and Disney provide programming.

10 Great Ways to Promote your Facebook Fan Page


The presence of facebook in Social Media is growing daily, which means that the number of prospective fans for you and your business is growing just as fast. But how do you keep up? One of the hottest things going in marketing right now is a Facebook Page. Here are 10 different methods you can use to promote and grow your Facebook community:
1. Promote your Fan Page with a Widget
It sounds easy enough but I can’t tell you how many people still don’t do this. You can integrate facebook with your site using the “Like” widget. People who visit your blog won’t know that you have a fan page until you tell. Don’t miss out on this prime opportunity to convert your blog readers into facebook fans!

2. Put-up a Featured Discussion your LinkedIn Group 
If you don’t have a LinkedIn group for your industry, make one. It’s your way to demonstrate your expertise, thereby driving business to your company.
This discussion can lead to opening the doors to a higher level of customer service that you might not have otherwise had.



One of the best places to promote your facebook page do that is in the description of your current position. When you describe your position and the company, put a hyperlink to the fan page at the bottom of the description.
If you don’t have a LinkedIn profile, you should get one. Linkedin is one of the best ways to network on a global basis and draw business to your company.

You wouldn’t send out marketing without your company name would you? So don’t forget a mention of your facebook page. All it takes is one line in a prominent location.

The same reasons apply here as your Outbound Marketing. It’s a way of “covering all your bases” and making sure that you reach the widest group of people possible.  A great way to do this is by sending a tweet out every so often on Twitter asking your followers to also become your fans.

Video blogs are also one of the hottest ways to connect with clients and prospects. YouTube allows you to annotate your video with links that you can use to link back to your facebook page. If your video starts to gain traction on YouTube this link can translate to significant inbound traffic to your fan page.

It makes me sad to see the many people that fail to use this valuable facebook real estate for any good.  Instead why not throw a link in there to your facebook page.
Don’t be afraid to include a call to action as well, something like: “Join me in the facebook flow facebook page! http://facebook.com/fbflow

Build awareness about your facebook page in your email signature by include a hyperlink to your fan page. Now every person you email will have a link to your facebook page, and over time you this will effect an increase your fan base.

To create a landing page for your facebook page you will need to know some basic html, and you will need to use the static fbml app.

You’re already adding value to your company website by having a blog section, so up the ante and mention your fan page in directly within your content. Don’t be afraid to come right out and ask people to join your facebook page.  By the way, you really should join the facebookflow fan page;)
